The Center for Fine Art Photography presents 2008 Macro World Exhibition Last nights artist reception and grand opening at the "Center's" new location in Ft. Collins was a special event. Out of 749 photographs entered by 179 photographers from 7 different countries, my entry "Canyon Road Glass" (shown in insert above) was one of 50 pieces of work to make it into the show. I was honored to be juried into this great show.
"Jurying images for The Center for Fine Art Photography "Macro World" exhibit was quite challenging. There were 179 artists submitting work. I understood that 4-5 passes through all of the images would most likely result in my selecting the top four awards. The overall quality of the work was such that after approximately 15 passes, the image field was edited down to the requisite 50 for the exhibit. The final 50 exhibit images are all clean, simple, colorful/graphic, and well executed." Tony Sweet, Juror To see complete show images: http://c4fap.org/exhibitions/2008Macro/index.htm

Fast flying...Sharp-shinned Hawk... Feeds mainly on birds, which it catches in sudden and swift attacks. It's rounded wings and long narrow tail enable it to pursue birds thru the woods making sharp turns to avoid branches...

Milk Drop in Water (at least) It?s been a trying week and a half. Endless hours at work, tons of snow events seemingly at all the wrong times and then, and by far most upsetting, we suffered a catastrophic hard drive failure on the mother ship? I?m not a very computer literate guy at all, just not wired in this direction. other then rectifying a problem by a simple reboot, I usually launch into a psychic unsettling bordering on pure panic until troubles are resolved. I am however fortunate in knowing some very smart people that live and breath this shit and more than know their way around the inside of these zany CPU?s? Up and running once again, more to follow soonest?
